1. About Us

The Kensington and Chelsea Over 50s Forum (“the Forum”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is an award-winning registered charity serving residents of the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.

We are the Borough’s largest independent older people’s forum, with a membership of over 2,700 members. We are proud recipients of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest honour in the UK for voluntary groups.

Our mission is to create an environment in which older people are active partners in the decisions that affect their lives.

2. Purpose of Our Services

Through our activities, events, consultations and digital platforms, we:

• Provide opportunities for older residents to influence local decision-making

• Contribute to the planning, design and delivery of services for older people

• Offer activities that enrich the lives of older residents

• Work to alleviate social isolation

• Support older people in gaining confidence and participation in civic life

These Terms govern your use of our website, services, activities and events.

3. Membership

Membership of the Forum is open to eligible residents and supporters in accordance with our charitable objectives.

By becoming a member, you agree to:

• Support the aims and values of the Forum

• Treat other members, staff and volunteers with dignity and respect

• Participate constructively in discussions and consultations

• Abide by any event or activity guidelines

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership where conduct is inappropriate, discriminatory, abusive or contrary to our charitable objectives.

4. Participation in Activities and Events

When attending Forum events, courses, meetings or activities, participants agree to:

• Follow reasonable instructions from staff or volunteers

• Respect other attendees

• Use facilities and equipment responsibly

The Forum reserves the right to refuse entry or remove participants where behaviour compromises safety or wellbeing.

Some activities may require advance booking.

5. Volunteering

Volunteers play a vital role in supporting our work.

Volunteers must:

• Act in the best interests of the Forum and its members

• Maintain confidentiality where appropriate

• Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures

Separate volunteer agreements may apply.

6. Safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding older people and vulnerable adults. Any safeguarding concerns will be addressed in accordance with our safeguarding policy and relevant UK legislation.

7. Website Use

By using our website, you agree:

• Not to misuse or attempt to disrupt the website

• Not to post unlawful, defamatory or abusive content

• That content on our website is for general information purposes only

8. Intellectual Property
